Ugh.
So it's weekend right? The weekends usually the time when you get to sleep in, enjoy the comfort of your bed, etc. Well hold on there, tiger. Today you're helping with yard work. So I get up at 8:30 am. True, not extremely early, but also true, it's Saturday. Freakin' Saturday.
Ok, I'm not complaining because I love helping out my dad and grandpa when I can. But I gotsta sleep. And I'm lazy. So what do they have me do? Most of the freakin' manual labor. I'm sure my dad is happy he had a strapping, albeit weak, boy that fateful day 21 years ago. So we're laying down new piping for the sprinkler system. We rented these huge ass tools from Home Depot. Well guess who they have do most of the work using those rather heavy tools? Yeah. Not my brother. At least not until my hands and the rest of my body was aching.
So here I am now. Aching. And if I'm aching now, I can only imagine what hell manual labor has wreaked upon my body. So what's the moral of the story? Manual labor on an out-of-shape engineering-student/sit-in-front-of-computer-all-day worker is not a good combination.
Oh yeah. And if you look at the time, that's right folks. At least 5-6 hours of manual labor. Haha. Of course I rested sometimes.
