Just got back from NY and must send many thanks to Ei and her friends for her hospitality. I had a lot of fun. Some quick recaps:
* Friday we did some touristy stuff. Swung by Sea Port (?) which is like a shopping mall. Then we headed over to the site of the World Trade Center. It was a really crazy thing to see. I dunno how to explain it. It's such a somber site. After that, we took a walk toward the Statue of Liberty. There was a free ferry ride to Staten Island so we took that. It's not every day you get to go to Staten Island on a free ferry. We got a closer view of the Statue of Liberty from the ferry, so that was cool.
* Friday night (the 21st) we went to remote lounge which is a really cool place. Haha. And just because I think it's cool doesn't mean I'm a voyeur now. I got drunk.
* Saturday afternoon we caught Aida. It was a pretty cool show. We got really good seats for a good price. If you're in town, I'd recommend it.
* Saturday night we went to this one lounge called Parlay. Pretty small venue, really crowded, high male population... cool I guess. I drank pathetically but someone got drunk and it wasn't me. It was Ei.
* Sunday I went to church. God must've been surprised. It was at St. Patrick's Cathedral. Afterward I walked around Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue and all that stuff. Pretty cool.
* Sunday night my cousin-in-law picked me up and then headed over to a bar. This is the cousin-in-law who is really baller. After the bar we headed over to his favorite steak place where he paid for a fat-ass steak and lobster meal. Awesome. Then we went to their place in New Jersey where I saw my cousin and niece and nephews. Those kids have soooo much energy. And it was awesome they remembered me.
* He then took me to Atlantic City where I lost a lot of money. We were gonna stay at a hotel room up there but we were both awake so we just drove back to their place. Got home at 6:30am.
* Monday did some shopping, had some dinner.
* Tuesday did a little more shopping and hopped on an earlier flight than planned to home. I was stopped at every checkpoint by security. I was afraid I'd miss the flight but it was cool I guess. Better safe than sorry, even thought I knew they woudln't find anything.
All in all, fun times. Look forward to another good trip sometime soon. Actually, I'm looking forward to some football on Saturday.

HAHA! Jay Jay is right. His spring break was hecka embarrassing.
Cell Phone: *ring* *ring* You have reached the voice mail of [insert name here]. Please leave a message.
Jay Jay: [changing his voice] This is Jeremy. [hangs up phone]
HAHA! Awesome!
In any case, I'm blogging from NY right now. Very cool place. I find it strange to be able to walk around at 2 in the morning on the streets as if it were any other time of day, look for a place to grub, and actually be able to do it. I mean, maybe it's not too weird, but I don't live in a big city. I must seem like a big farm boy geek who has never been to the big city, but if I wanted to eat at 2 in San Jose, my choices are limited to driving through Jack in the Box or going to Denny's. Or I guess driving to Krispy Kreme or In n' Out, too. But those are treks usually saved for altered states of consciousness.
Anyhow, for those of you interested in all things NY, be sure to place your orders before I'm outta here. God bless America.

Ok. By no accounts am I condoning war. If given the choice between resolving an issue diplomatically but within a long period of time versus a quick war, I believe I'd back with the diplomatic approach. However, I'd like to say that I support our President and the decisions that the leaders of this country make. Granted, I am a student of the American school system and maybe perhaps I have been fed by the propaganda machine. But nonetheless, I strongly believe in the way our government works. And I don't mean to attack my friend Jeff and others who share his view of Bush as a cowboy, but I disagree with that point of view.
The thing is, none of us can know for sure all the details of this war. Maybe it is because the oil companies are big backers of George "Dubya". In my mind, that's not what it's about. It's easy to say that Bush is an idiot because the way he talks is not as charismatic or smooth as other leaders. It's easy to say that his presidency is a fluke because of Florida. But I think saying that is viewing the issue with a naive mind (no offense intended). Regardless of the number of votes, he gathered enough that he was in contention for the presidency. Being an idiot will not get you that many votes. Because of that, I truly believe that his decisions are based more than just on the finances of his campaign contributors. I don't think this is his way of showing the rest of the world what the US is capable of. The rest of the world already knows.
It's all in the details and trusting that the government is making the right decisions based on the details that WE don't know know. In my heart of hearts, I don't think that Bush, or any reasonable person, would send in 280,000 troops to risk their lives for their interests alone. And again, I don't know all the details, but if madmen like Hussein are allowed to continue with their own interests in mind, it's not something I would like to have to deal with on our side of the pond. I'm not saying that this will escalate or is even on the same level as the Holocaust, but as Eric had mentioned, if you can stop the Holocaust before it happened, wouldn't you?

Ok folks. If you could, I'd appreciate if you helped me and my group out by testing some software we're developing. It's some educational software and we've put up an online version. We know there are a lot of bugs but if you could help us point out some more, that would be awesome. Be patient with the loading because we haven't implemented a loading phase thing. Also, the username and password is for a student right now. Use the name "Billy" and password "password" and keeping in mind that it's all case-sensitive. You can find the game at:
www.brutalhoney.com/fun
Please either email me or IM me at "risk absurdity" with your feedback. This software is geared toward first through third graders and if we're able to improve it enough, we could get an award at the design conference. Highly unlikely but a possibility with your help.

Anything you can do, I can do better.
There once were some guys from South Cali.
On them many scores we will tally.
They've whined they don't play enough.
Well too bad, ladies, that's tough.
Perhaps you'd prefer to iron your skirts
and wear your latest baby t-shirts.
Or how 'bout you wait and hear this idea?
Before my cleats say, "Goodbye, nice seein' ya!"
Hey, guys. Grow some balls!
You'll need practice to match all of our calls.
How 'bout you ladies play some sports?
Otherwise it's sure that you'll come up short.
That you're talking shit this early is awesome
but right now our smack talk is playing possum.
It's nice that you think it'll be fun
but you won't think that when you're unable to run
with your foot in your mouth
and NorCal Dominating down South
where I'll dance and say stuff like "I love me some me!"
You'll love it too but you're gonna hate me...You'll see!
