increase the volume please

Weekend update: It was a pretty busy weekend that started off most righteously. To celebrate my friend Elaine's 21st birthday (May 28), a party was thrown on Friday. Naturally, beverages of alcoholic variety made their expected appearances. Two new friends did, too: Gertude and The Green Machine. I didn't meet Gertrude first hand but from what I saw, she's quick. Pictures are deceptive (previously shown at Jeff's Place). The Green Machine, on the other hand, I thoroughly enjoyed. Prior to meeting it, my brother was telling me that it was harsh to even seasoned veterans. I found it rather smooth. Very nice. In all, a good night. I'm sure the video is funny, but unfortunately, I'm also sure it's particularly embarassing for yours truly. But hey, you can't knock a blaze-n-40 night. Ghetto fother-mucker.

Saturday, my sister graduated from high school. Though I might not show it outwardly, I'm proud of her. Way to go. Had a little party on Saturday that lasted into the late night.

Sunday, my sister and her friends had a joint BBQ. Played some volleyball and football. Fun times. Also catched the last half of the Kings-Lakers game. Wack. Then I had to go to do a group project between 8 and 11. I'm dead tired then, so starting to study for the midterm I had today was horrible. Procrastinator? Hell yeah. Dumbass? No doubt. Gonna pass? I'm a God-fearing man. I hope I do. I should.

And finally, I wrote the following while at work. I had to email it to myself because it didn't work while at work. Horrible. So, here's a blog from what would've been posted last week:

"I'm at work right now and am profoundly bored. It appears the servers are having trouble either on this side or that side so gathering data is like picking cotton by hand. I wouldn't know how picking cotton by hand is, but I hear it's rather time-consuming and hurts. This hurts because of these damn "network computers" - the so-called future of computing. Well if this is the future, send me back to the stone-age, Scott McNeally or Larry Ellison and give me a Wintel machine. In any case, since, it looks like its gonna take awhile, I think I'll rant and elaborate.

Rant: These computer are slow.

Elaborate: As I said on Sunday, I just got back from Las Vegas. What I lost may not be a lot to all you high-rollers, but to a college-student like myself, losing what I lost hurts a lot..."

I never finished because after some tests, I realized it wasn't going to work. And you know what? I'm probably not gonna finish because I'm lazy.
