Sittin' on the dock of the bay, watching the tide roll away
Party people, I bring you my weekend update. It's been brought to my attention that I write too much. Sorry about that. I'll try to keep this one short.
Friday, after a long day of work and a long week, I was able to enjoy myself. Enjoy myself a lot. We went to Discovery Bay where a friend owns a vacation home. It's off the delta, and his backyard is water. Awesome. Did the usual party festivities and just relaxed and enjoyed. Relaxed and enjoyed.
Saturday, the fun didn't stop. Started early (side note: I apologize to everyone whose sleep may have been interrupted by my snoring. If it makes you feel any better, I slept extremely well.), ended nicely. Since we were on that delta, and our friend had a paddle boat type of thing, we used it and just cruised around. Not really cruised 'cuz I think I weighed it down, but just sat out there and enjoyed. Then we went back to San Jose, had some pizza. Then played some volleyball. And then swam. Fun filled day.
And now it's Sunday, and I'm pretty lazy. So we'll stop there.

i would swing from anything
It's that time again - my life-or-lack-there-of update. So, friend, what have I been up to? Thursday played some basketball and then watched The Bourne Identity. Not a bad movie, but there were some parts that were kinda dumb - in some ways hilarious. Went with Richard "Bruce Banner" Cayetano and Oli. Pretty cool. Friday, went and watched another movie: Minority Report. (On a sidenote: It seems that it's either feast or famine when it comes to movies for me. I've watched more movies lately and really hadn't seen anything new before Spider-Man. Yeah, that's a big span I guess. I'm arguing with myself. Shizer.) I liked Minority Report better than Bourne Identity. I thought it was really cool. Went with the hulk, Oli, and a little girl. We were gonna go and do some stuff but I think it was past the girl's bedtime or something. Haha. Just kidding. After the movie and some chillen' I went over to Oli's house, had some adobo and beer while watching How High. Rich stopped by, too, after dropping off the young'en. All good.
Saturday helped my cousin move some stuff, then headed over to David's house for a pool party. Only there for a short while then went to Mr. Jeff "So Buff Girls Can't Get Enough" D for his graduation party. Pretty cool. Played some bones, chatted with folk I haven't seen in a long time. Good times. Then went and had some more good times.
Sunday played some volleyball. I think I sunburned my head. If you didn't know, I shaved my head. I hadn't noticed I burned my head until just a little while ago when I decided to give myself a haircut and shave my head some more. It stung.
I gotta end now. Apparently, I missed class Thursday. I thought summer school was supposed to start this week. Mother fuckers.

summer summer summer time
Finally summer. Before I begin on my own weekend update, congratulations to all of you graduates. No more school - I envy you. And to all you daddio's out there, happy father's day as well. I don't know what the custom is, but my cousin Joey and his wife Grace have their first baby in the oven, so if it isn't premature, I'd like to say happy father's day to him.
On to the weekend update. So, Friday I was my last day off before I start working full time. I wanted to drop an ethernet line down to my room by way of my brother's room (which is the room above mine). I planned on finishing it Friday, but what ended up happening was I only bought the supplies Friday. A cousin and his parents on my dad's side from LA came over as well. We had dinner. My cousin (his name is pronounced Boji) just graduated from university in the Philippines, top of his class. I was mighty impressed because if he were at my school, there would be something like 5 million students between our rankings. So, besides dinner, I didn't do much. I fixed my bro's computer. What a nerd. Friday night and fixing a computer. Great.
On Saturday I had hoped to attend some graduations but my dad asked the siblings and I to hang out with our cousin. That was fine. We went over to Lake Cunningham where a cousin from my mom's side was having a birthday bbq. On a side note, every weekend for the past month I've been over at Lake Cunningham. One was for my god-daughter's birthday, the next for my sister's graduation bbq, and now this birthday party. And each time, the grass seems to be getting drier and drier. So anyway, that was fun. Played some volleyball, then some dominoes.
Later Saturday night the same cousin who had the birthday bbq and some other cousins and their friend's went out clubbing, which I also did. Pretty fun. Got to drink. Was missing something though, nah mean? Haha. Anyway, one cousin yakked a bunch, a cousin's friend was getting the chills, and another cousin dropped. Haha! If that's how I looked when I dropped, I can see what y'all were scared of. Haha! Anyhow, good fun.
Oh yeah! After the club we went to go eat over at Denny's. I rode with my cousin Joey, Grace, and Diana in the A4. Man I miss that car. But anyway, when we got there, there was a fight goin' down between these two bitches in front of the restaurant. We parked across from the entrance, so I started walking toward it and then I hear this cop car racing toward me. Haha. I almost got run over. But anyway, I finally see this one girl on top of the other girl and she's holding the girl's hair and looked like she was either punching her or trying to pummel her head to the concrete. I don't think she succeeded, and before it could get anymore out of hand the police officer broke it up. It was kinda cool. Later, words were exchanged. Y'kno "What bitch!?" "What you want!? Kick your ass!" "Bitch!!" etc. Girls and their dramatics. Sheesh.

Two failed tests down, one more to go.
Yeah, you read that headline right. Another one down, one more to go. And let me tell you this last one was supposed to be the easiest of them. Well, not really easy, but still easier than the others in comparison. It was tough. I got slapped like a bitch. It hurts. I really hope I pass. Oh man, I hope I pass. Sweet mother, let me pass. If you let me pass all the classes this quarter, I promise to be a better student. Seriously, let me pass ALL of them.

If the rant from yesterday afternoon scared you, my apologies. I was getting a bit delusional having the half hour of sleep that I had. By the by, that last statement where I say "I'd make it eat my shit, etc" is from the move Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back I believe. In any case, while I do abhor school, I'm not really as angry as I might sound. But damn, I do hate school. And I feel bad for hating it. Sorry, school.
No! I'm not sorry, ya' mangy bitch! I still hate you - I'm just sorry for myself. Look what you've done made me do.

One failed test down, two more to go.
If I weren't the manly man I am, I'd be crying right now. But I've come to accept the fact that one failed test will inevitably lead to another. Fuckin' school, man. Why am I so fucking stupid? Seriously. I hate this shit, man! Argh. I swear if school were some physical entity, I think I'd have to go and shoot it. That would be my epic - my odyssey. Slaying the fiery bitch of a thing in Hades. I'd yell "Bitch! You bitch! I hate you bitch! Why you do this to me, bitch!? How you like it!? Huh? Bomb!" I'd make it eat my shit, then eat the shit it shits out, and then make it eat that shit again. Dammit!

Wow. I really can't study very well. It's not something I'm good at. My mind wanders way too much. To take a "break" from all the "studying" I've been doing, I looked at my web site and realized that I have not done shit to that left-side menu all one of you see. Sorry, friend. With finals ending on Wednesday, I should be able to get some pet projects done, hopefully. And then I start work full-time next week. And then summer school starts. Ahhh - the excitement never ends for an under-achieving undergraduate computer-engineering student who just happened to change his hairstyle just recently.
Boy, do I hate school. I have finals this week and am mighty terrified of them. Tough quarter, let me tell you. Funny story. For one of my classes, we had a final project to do. I'm in the class with two friends so we worked on the project as a group. It's a programming project and we had to demonstrate that it works properly for her. Now, we're not the best students and I speak for myself when I say I know I'm not the smartest guy in the world. In fact, I know I'm absolutely not the smartest guy in engineering - perhaps I'm on the other side of the spectrum. In any case, when it comes time to demo for our professor, she walks into the room and says something to the effect of, "This should be the project to end all projects, because you guys need it the most." HAHAHAHAHA! Holy moley I can't believe she just said that.
And now the weekend update: Friday my cousin and her friends had this little shindig over at the Double Tree hotel to celebrate their college graduation. I also think it was a party for some festival thing they're throwing. It was cool, despite the large Filipino gathering. By the by, I'm not knocking the Filipino culture that I embrace. It's just the people. Hah! You know what I mean. I know you know what I mean. Anyhow, just did a little drinking and other stuff. Fun night.
Saturday, my family had a party for my grandmother's birthday at our house. We watched a taping of the Lewis-Tyson fight. Kinda cool. Then we went over to Hanah's house for a little party he was having. I didn't parttake in much activity as I have to study for finals. But my cousin Chris and JJ got pretty fucked. Pretty funny.
And in retrospect, I shoulda drank more because I'm not studying right now although I damn well should be. I'm such a dumbass.

I don't like school much. If I didn't tell you that, you might think I loved school because I just got back from it. Nearly seven straight hours of lab work and our shit still ain't working. Optimistically, we're 50% done. On top of that, there's another project that needs to get finished. Bullshat. That's what I call it. Bullshat.
So that's what's been going on over here on this side of the pond. Over at muscle beach, Jeff "So Buff Girls Can't Get Enough" Defensor has put up pictures from the birthday bash I alluded to the other day. Check 'em out if you wanna see me retardedly shit-faced and lookin' dirty as fuck. I really should start fixing my hair again. I can't rock the flowing mane like I wish I could. And maybe start shaving again, but I think I'm gonna try to grow a soul patch. But I digress. That's embarassing stuff, yo. I guess that's what comes out of a blazin'-40 night. Next time, we'll try a blazin'-80 night. You heard it here first.

increase the volume please
Weekend update: It was a pretty busy weekend that started off most righteously. To celebrate my friend Elaine's 21st birthday (May 28), a party was thrown on Friday. Naturally, beverages of alcoholic variety made their expected appearances. Two new friends did, too: Gertude and The Green Machine. I didn't meet Gertrude first hand but from what I saw, she's quick. Pictures are deceptive (previously shown at Jeff's Place). The Green Machine, on the other hand, I thoroughly enjoyed. Prior to meeting it, my brother was telling me that it was harsh to even seasoned veterans. I found it rather smooth. Very nice. In all, a good night. I'm sure the video is funny, but unfortunately, I'm also sure it's particularly embarassing for yours truly. But hey, you can't knock a blaze-n-40 night. Ghetto fother-mucker.
Saturday, my sister graduated from high school. Though I might not show it outwardly, I'm proud of her. Way to go. Had a little party on Saturday that lasted into the late night.
Sunday, my sister and her friends had a joint BBQ. Played some volleyball and football. Fun times. Also catched the last half of the Kings-Lakers game. Wack. Then I had to go to do a group project between 8 and 11. I'm dead tired then, so starting to study for the midterm I had today was horrible. Procrastinator? Hell yeah. Dumbass? No doubt. Gonna pass? I'm a God-fearing man. I hope I do. I should.
And finally, I wrote the following while at work. I had to email it to myself because it didn't work while at work. Horrible. So, here's a blog from what would've been posted last week:
"I'm at work right now and am profoundly bored. It appears the servers are having trouble either on this side or that side so gathering data is like picking cotton by hand. I wouldn't know how picking cotton by hand is, but I hear it's rather time-consuming and hurts. This hurts because of these damn "network computers" - the so-called future of computing. Well if this is the future, send me back to the stone-age, Scott McNeally or Larry Ellison and give me a Wintel machine. In any case, since, it looks like its gonna take awhile, I think I'll rant and elaborate.
Rant: These computer are slow.
Elaborate: As I said on Sunday, I just got back from Las Vegas. What I lost may not be a lot to all you high-rollers, but to a college-student like myself, losing what I lost hurts a lot..."
I never finished because after some tests, I realized it wasn't going to work. And you know what? I'm probably not gonna finish because I'm lazy.
