Not cool. So close, yet so far. Only about 20 pages from finishing, I see my cell phone glaring with an unwanted phone call. Haha. Should I answer or should I continue reading? I get pretty bad reception at home. Hmmm. The call confirms my fears. I lost. Just an hour before the call I was teetering on the edge of over-confidence. I thought I had this won and my opponent would have to eat her words. Weak.
Good job, Ei. You win. When's the rematch?

I'll say it now with great disappointment - I am pathetic; a f**kin' failure. Sorry, Bro, I owe you big time. I'll be sure to bring my game face and be on top of my game come this weekend. Sorry, dude. Such a f**ckin' disappointment. I'm nothing but a damn groupie.
But nonetheless, Happy Birthday, bro. Happy Birthday.

And on a Thursday, God said "Let there be punishment for Jeng." And there was punishment.
I don't know why I was punished. Perhaps it was just my penchant for good luck. After a fun night out in the town, I woke up with a slight hangover. A headache and a slowness caused by the intoxication of the night before. And so the fun had begun.
As I'm taking a shower, a stinging sensation burns on my chest. What the heck? When did I get that cut? It's not huge but it certainly puzzled me.
As I'm heading out of the house, I go to pick up my phone that I thought had been charging. Great. It wasn't charged. In fact, it was near dead. So I bring it along anyhow and head off to work.
As I'm driving down the street, I hear this "wubble wubble" never before heard in my car. Hmmm. I wonder what that could be... So I get out of my car and lo and behold, a flat tire. Great, I'm thinking. Time to put that spare tire to good use. I might as well call my coworkers and tell them I'm going to be late to a meeting that's already been postponed several times.
Oh wait. What's this? Oh yeah. My phone is dead.
I finally make it to work when a coworker inquires, "Stay out late last night? You look tired."
Yep. It was punishing.

First, though it's a bit belated, many congratulations to my fellow SCU graduates, Cat and Joe, my Senior Design Project partners, Peter and James, and the rest of you fine people out there. Some more congratulations go out to my old school n*ggas Oliver and Thomas. Been a crazy four years but definitely worthwhile. Haha.
I gotta thank everyone for making it out to my grad party. I know there were plenty of other parties to go to but you were still able to swing over to mine, so many, many thanks. I feel a bit embarrassed for such an elaborate "graduation" party so if anything, it should've been a celebration for my parents. Judging from their remarks this morning, it seems as though they had fun, too. Ditto for my aunts and uncles. And that should answer any questions about my previous blog. Was I embarrassing? Very likely.
I'm gonna cut this blog short and end it with a pic. I plan on writing a more meaningful blog perhaps tomorrow, but we all know what happens when I plan things.

A blog from around May or June 1999:
So I'm finally done with high school. Man, a crazy four years and now I'm off to college. Hopefully I'll be a better student there because after that, it's real life where, after a successful academic career (I'll shoot for magna cum laude maybe), I'll have a good job and make a lot of money. No way this economic boom will die down. I think I should invest my money in some stocks.
So I hear that a lot of the future frat boys from Bell are planning on having a keg party. Probably do some drugs. Those crazy guys. I don't undertsand the big hoopla with all that stuff. No way I need that in my life to have fun. Alcohol tastes nasty anyway, especially beer.
It kinda sucks that a couple of us are all going different places. I wonder where we'll all be in four years. Hmmm...

I know I had some blogs on another site, but this one only has archives since May of last year. So that means I've been blogging here for a year. I think that's weird.
Man. I'm bored and am really lookin' forward to this summer. I'm guessing the festivities aren't going to be as frequent as last summer, but I sure hope they come close to matching the fun.
I think it would be dope to plan a fat week-long trip of some sort to anywhere. Maybe rent an RV and head up to Seattle or something. Or maybe rent a house boat and some jet skis. Or maybe a camping trip. Or something. Anything. Please say you're down.
