Jackpot. So earlier today I was running late to my 1:00 PM class and didn't have time to grab some breakfast. As I'm walking into class, a swarm of college students are hovering around a table. "What's this?" I'm thinking. It's some catered chinese food. Apparently, there was a presentation in the room before class started and our professor let us enjoy. It also stopped class for a good 5-10 minutes. Pretty cool.

An email awhile ago from Mr. Ed of SoCal fame introduced a fun game that I'd like to try some time soon. Any takers?

So at least I'm not the only one who thought it was tough. I found this amusing - overheard outside of class following our midterm:

"So what did you think of the midterm? I had trouble with one through two."

"Dude. I had trouble with one through four."

"There was a number four?"

Yeah. It was a four question midterm. And I, too, had trouble with them.

Lucky number 13. That was the number of the midterm I got. This is the first test in a while that I feel good about. It's still not great, as I know I'm still on the lower half of the bell curve, but good because I actually got some points on this test.
If procrastination were a crime, I'd be locked up for life. I posted my resume online.
Oh. And sorry Jeff, but I'm not a big fan of pop-ups so my link may be compromising your artistic approach. Let me know if you want me to change it back.

Hey y'all. I almost forgot that I had made the above navigation bar a while ago. It was around the time that the first Hulk trailer came out. The icons I used may not be legible but I figured I'd try to continue with the comic book theme for now. If you have suggestions for yours or another's icon, feel free to speak up. Also, if you prefer the old menu, let me know. I'll change it back.
Rose are red, violets are blue. I'm schizophrenic, and so am I.

Haha. Another thing I thought was amusing.

I'm at work. I am freakin' bored and so damn tired. I surprised myself by going to class today after a nerd night (LOL - what I'll look like pretty soon). I have a s#itload of work to do here but really don't want to do it. I have a midterm tomorrow. It's a class I have no clue about. I have a midterm on Friday, too. I kinda know stuff there which is another surprise, but a midterm is a midterm. Not stuff I look forward to.

Boredom.

Saturday is the NFL Draft. That should be cool. Now if we're able to have a Draft/LAN party, that would be really cool. Haha. What do you guys think? In my boredom I was thinking of different draft drinking games. Just thinking about them because starting at 12pm ET (aka 9am PT) is a sign of alcoholism (see Apr. 22 blog). Nonetheless, how about a shot for every running back taken? This appears to be a slim running back draft class so it wouldn't be too many shots. More shots you say? Perhaps a shot for every defensive player taken? A lot of draft boards have offensive players as the first three picks, so the drinking might be able to start as late as 10 am. HAHA. Oh man. This blog is getting long.

Boredom.

I got a call earlier today from a manger type person I'm working with from a different department. She knows that my contract ends in June with my current department, but she's been talking with my boss about extending it somehow, possibly with her department. She says I'd be working under the engineering side and says "which is probably more up your alley anyhow." I nearly choked after she said that. And mentally laughed at how my degree as a "computer engineer" has allowed me - perhaps forced me - to say "Yeah. That sounds like something I'd be interested in."

Boredom.

I used to have a drinking problem. Now I love the stuff.

Haha. I thought that was funny.

Happer Easter, y'all. And uhm. Nevermind. I'm no PH. I'm going to church.

asdf
I know, I know. I'm a geek but I thought this little thing was interesting. Go to buddyzoo.com and submit your screen name and buddy list. Everything is kept private but it allows for this kind of six degrees of separation deal. I guess it's an approach to social network theory based on your AIM buddy list. After you do that, you can go back to your life not linked to the computer. Unfortunately, I don't have one.

Hey all. Sorry but the site is going down temporarily for maintenance and stuff like that. That means all riskingabsurdity sites will be down. Hopefully it'll be back up again later tonight.

Interesting call I got earlier this morning. About a month ago I registered a domain name that came up during a fun dinner at Miyakes.

"Hi, Daniel. It says here you registered... uh... bongshelter.com. Is that right?"

"Yes. That's me."

"Well since it's not being hosted right now, we have some hosting options... blah blah blah"

Haha. Cool.

This is a pre-emptive message: I agree to disagree with Jeff.

My sentiments exactly, Rich. No one - here especially - can say they know what's going on. I don't remember the exact wording of a recent discussion I had with a person against the war but he suggested that my views were from a skewed perspective. He said that it was out of arrogance or a feeling of superiority that we usurp Saddam; in essense, he asked, "Who's to say our way is better?" Maybe it's not better, but at least the Iraqis can now decide.

Nothing much new around these parts. Still the same ol' same ol'. But nonetheless, it's some fun same ol' stuff. Kind of same 'ol.

So here's what happened yesterday. I had some family over for my cousin's baby shower. Also during this time, Rich was celebrating his 22nd birthday with some friends. I unfortunately had to decline the invitation to go. But I told Rich to call me up after dinner and all that, which he did and asked if they could all come over or if I wanted to meet them up somewhere. I told them they could all come over. In retrospect, that might've been a bad idea. But in a fun way I guess. Really embarrassing.

Family + Friends (all in one location) = an embarrassed Jeng.

Big birthday shout out to Mr. Rich Cayetano.
