viva las vegas again

Just got back from Vegas a little while ago. Again, fun times. Went for my friend Thomas' 21st and I'm glad I could make it. Despite the large amount of funds lost during the excursion, I enjoyed the time and look forward to going to Vegas again. Hopefully next time, I'll win big instead of lose big. I'll blog more on this subject later.

make me happy for one moment

Haven't been blogging lately, but here's what's been happening so far. Watch the plot unfold before your very eyes.

The other day, Jeff and I got our new cases for the computers we're going to build. Very nice. Thanks to Jeff for showing me this case. I'm looking forward to this new rig as it will invariably lead me to more low grades. But at least I'll still be a geek. A dumb geek, though. A dumb, poor geek, cuz this rig ain't gonna be cheap.

I've been procrastinating a lot more than usual lately. And I haven't even been blogging - except now of course. But I had a midterm today in my Databases class. Shoulda been cake, but I like doing things the hard way. Tomorrow I have a midterm and a project due. I will probably be pulling an all nighter. Quick question: when you (as a student) pull the proverbial all-nighter, do you really do the all-night thing? I think it's torture on my body. But it's my fault. Rather than start studying at 11, I should do it much, much earlier, huh. But, the way I see it now (because before I'd head to bed around 3ish), if I can stay up all night for a video game, why can't I do it for studying? So, with little breaks in between, the past couple of tests I've studied up until I've had to get ready for class (i.e. till the sun comes up). My friends - don't try this. It will get you nowhere and I'm your prime example. If your goal is to wallow through school in mediocrity, then maybe you can do this. But... I dunno. I'm an idiot.

And I hate school.

I just watched Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. Yoda is facking tight.

weekend

Pretty good weekend. In case you were wondering, I didn't catch Spider-Man again. Friday, didn't really do much. Because my parents weren't going to be here for Mother's Day on the 12th (Trip to Vegas as a gift from their children), we had dinner Friday night. Nothing huge - just a small chinese restaurant. Played some Halo, too. The usual.

Saturday my parents left for Las Vegas in the afternoon. Later in the day, met up with an old friend from high school, Mr. Ko, and another friend (Christine's the name). Recently, when Mr. Ko has come up from Irvine, this has meant activity I'm sure you're all familiar with. This weekend was no different. So, Saturday, I was running a little late to meet up with them to go to a hip hop show of some sort in Berkeley. That plan was scratched and we went over to University Ave. in Palo Alto. There we walked around after some activity. Also there, my brother phoned me to ask if I could purchase him some beverages of the fermented variety. He informed me of a Souls of Mischief performance at Stanford University. Perfect. After delivering the goods, we headed over to Stanford for this small performance. Pretty cool. It was free, and Souls of Mischief, Zion I, the Triple Threat DJs, and this little independent rapper guy LT and the Friendly Traveller performed. Very nice except for the poor sound quality. And the sprinklers went off which ended the Souls of Mischief performance a bit prematurely. But it was all good. A small crowd (I'd say around 100 or so) meant that we wouldn't be battling for positions - except this really tall white guy was standing in front of us. Nonetheless, an enjoyable Saturday.

Sunday, lazy.

I am so satisfied with the Spider-Man movie that I've put up a page for it. It's got my review and other little tidbits. Check it out if you like.

GOD DAMN. Now possibly my favorite movie of all time. Watch Spider-Man, now!

Thursday, May 2, 2002

Nevermind. Got my hopes up again. I will not be seeing Spider-Man a day early. Nonetheless, I am excited for the movie. And thusly, you will hear this music for a little while longer.
wealth and fame, he's ignored. action is his reward

Ok, true believers. If you have your sound up, you'll hear some music. It won't be here for long but I needed to put it up in commemoration of the Spider-Man movie coming out tomorrow - mind you, the greatest superhero ever created. And some good news - my cousin-in-law invited me to go watch a sneak peak at the movie tonight! So I'm stoked. I should study for a midterm but it's Spider-Man, yo!

This is just a test blog to see if things are still working.
Ok. Finally. Here we go. So as you can see this is a newly redesigned site with an easier URL and everything. I still have my old one up at my school server. It will not be updated from now on so for you hordes of fans, don't bog down my school server with unnecessary page requests (gettin' a little technical on ya'). Unfortunately, this site is not as complete yet. It's actually an updated version of Two just with a menu on the left and stuff. Still nothing yet to put up. Not much time with school and work and work and school. You know how it goes. Besides, my life is about as interesting as watching your hard drive get defragmented. Haha. I'm a nerd. But a dumb nerd, which sucks.
I'm bloggin' again. Who knows for how long though, as it chooses when it wants to work and when it doesn't.
