oh e oh e oh
Finally, spring break! Yeah! So what have I been doing? Nothing much really. Just excited for Thursday. What's on Thursday, you ask? The beginning of the proverbial college road trip. And this one is to Las Vegas. Las Vegas is where it's at. Go there when we're there.
Weekend update: Nothing new. I had pictures on the digital camera I wanted to use for a new website design but I think my grandpa may have removed them. On Saturday, my sister had a debut of sorts which was cool, in my opinion. She raked in some money so hopefully she kicks down to her poor brother.
Also, on Friday I was offered a job from Sun Microsystems, so I'm stoked.
Yesterday, I began building my grandpa's new computer. It's pretty phat. I think I wanna keep it. It's smokin' fast. Check out the tech update for the specs on the new comp.

where you at, boy? somewhere rappin'?
Official countdown to a week-long break that will unfortunately end far too soon: 2 days
Pops, if you've found this site, cool. But know that what's here is not always great.
Background: On Sunday, I got sick and was throwing up. I didn't get to study the amount of time I wanted to for my Monday final. I should've told me professor but I figured she wouldn't believe me ("How convenient, a sickness the night before a final," is what she would say). I get home after the final, not feeling great about my performance as well as my general health. I need to study. I have another final on Tuesday. I was up studying late Monday night for this final, as I usually do. I thought I set my alarm clock to 5am, so I could fit in some more studying in the morning. How do I wake up? The gardner's lawn mower is rattling the windows. What time do I wake up? 10am. What time do I get to school? 10:20am. Why so quick? Final was at 9:10am. Never have I done this before. Hopefully, never will it happen again.
I was reading Rich's latest on his website (nice new design) and have discovered that I am not the only one with insomnia. I, too, have been sleeping around 4am-ish, and I really don't know why. Unfortunately, sometimes when I want to sleep earlier, it's not possible. For example, the other night, I thought I'd be able to get some sleeping done by going to bed at 1am. So I laid myself down. I seriously could not get to sleep. I'd close my eyes but couldn't do it. I'd look at the clock and realize time moving, however slowly. Next thing I know, it's 4:30am. Weak. And then I fall asleep, only to wake up again at 8am.
I have a second job interview tomorrow (actually today, now - Wednesday). It's actually a followup. Last week I was interviewed at Sun Microsystems, Inc, and so the lady who interviewed me wanted me to go in for another interview with the rest of her crew. I hope I get the job. It seems like a really cool place and the job seems like a cool one. I hope I get the job. Finding a new internship has been pretty tough.

"in my younger days i used to sport a sag"
Haha. I'm looking through some of my old archives and came across an inventions list I came up with in 1996. I thought I was so smart, but now i'm thinking that at the time I came up with the idea, I probably heard it from somewhere. But if I didn't, then I had the ideas before companies such as Sony (their XM Radio) and the like. Haha. I can't believe I even tried to make some of it technical. Check it out for some fun.

"we ain't goin' nowhere"
I know I've been missing from the bloggin' scene, but my mind has been elsewhere lately. Halo has decided to play a larger part in my life, not too large, but more significant. It's a cool game. I wish I had a faster connection, but then again, if I did, I probably wouldn't be doing this because I'd be playing. Oh well.
To further complicate things, the resume sending isn't getting much receiving. I guess that's ok, but I really, really need a job. Wanna hire me? Do it!
I'm also still in the middle of developing a new design for this site. I have some ideas in mind, but they're not that appealing to me. I really have no idea what to do. It's come to the point that I don't want to do it, but I do. It makes no sense, but such is life.
I was reading an article talking about how in the future, people won't be able to read data like this because it will be obsolete. They actually did an experiment with it where they had some technology similar to a laser disc (a laser disc, what's that? karaoke, fool!) fifteen years ago and tried to read it this year and I don't think the results came out favorably. This could mean that we will be a forgotten age. Let's hope not.
Also updated was sports. Nothing much, but just letting you know.

I'm in the middle of migrating my website from geocities to my school web server. The address won't be as easy to remember, but how many of you actually know my site by heart? I don't. If some of the pages don't work, they will eventually.

I just sent out some resumes to companies who actually posted some available internships at Santa Clara's Intern Center. The chances I'll get a response are probably not very high. This sucks. Last year I was fortunate enough to still be working and the year before that, jobs were aplenty. When will this drought end?
"rock a rhyme that's right on time - it's tricky."
In the academic battle that wages on, the institution continues to dominate the man. Without the weapons of study and know-how, I continue to struggle in the quizzical and midterm battles. But come next year, the war will be won. Just wait, you bastard.
In a battle of other sorts, I played some Halo again today at my friend Peter's ("OJ Simpson") house with him and Joe ("Do Ma"). It was fun but we got our arses kicked by a guy who goes by the name of "topdog" and two of his cronies who weren't that great. Nonetheless, it was an impressive display of combat. In related news, I believe I will be getting an Xbox tomorrow - which means the academic battle will continue to get tougher.
I spoke with Hercules reborn (Jeff) yesterday, and he proposed a joint-venture of getting an actual domain name for more professional purposes. Sounds great to me so hopefully, if funding is adequate and we find a host within our budget, you will soon be able to find us at www.something.com. Replace "something" with whatever we choose.
It's tough.

"i wish i could get my head out of the sand"
Weekend Update On Saturday, I went to go watch the Filipino comedian, Rex Navarette. I went in expecting some humor and left satisfied. That guy is damn hilarious. Even when he used some of the jokes from his CDs, he changed them enough so they were still damn funny. If you ever get a chance, watch that guy. You won't be disapointed. Opening for him was a group called Elements of the Outer Realm (I think). They were pretty good but one of their lead singers looked kinda funny. But yeah, they're pretty good. I should've bought one of their CDs. That show alone would've made it a good weekend, but adding Halo for the Xbox finished off the Sunday early morning with a cherry.
To top it off, just got news from the amigos that the trip to Las Vegas is on. And when it's on, you know it's on like a mo' fo'. If you're going to be in that area for the weekend beginning March 28, we will see you there. Fun times to come f'sho'.
To top that off, next week is my last week of this quarter (besides finals week). This week is a little hectic, as I have a midterm I should be studying for tomorrow, another mini-midterm on Tuesday, and a paper due on Friday.
But it don't matter. Life right now ain't all that bad. Only thing missin' is a _ _ _ _ (fill in the blanks), nah mean? Haha. Word. Best b'lee 'dat.
