"say what?...buddy buddy"

I got an email from geocities today and it's not cool. I won't be able to FTP to the site anymore because I'm one of the people who use geocities for free. Not cool. That means that I won't be able to update these pages as easily. But it's okay. I'll find a new server soon.

And a message to theory of algorithms - I do not like you. I await our battle of the mind tomorrow.

"here comes the sun, and i say, it's all right"

So that portfolio I've blabbed about still hasn't been made. I played around with one design but was quite disappointed with how it turned out. I'm also thinking about adding a profile of sorts a la jeff and rich.

By the way, school continues to chug along and only about three more weeks of classes left for this quarter. I can't wait for it to be over - but actually, this quarter ain't all that bad compared to previous ones. I'm actually in some classes that make sense and I am more interested in than usual. But it's still school.

I'm getting a bit bored with the design I'm using and am very tempted to change it but can't come up with any new ones. I don't know if I should stick with this kind of design or go with something more corporate looking. Perhaps I'll do what my friend Rich did with his site (when it was up) - giving an option at the beginning for personal stuff or business. We shall see.
"...viva las vegas..."

So I got home from Las Vegas on Sunday, took a nap, and just woke up about fifteen minutes ago. It was an excellent weekend of fun. Good, good fun.

I changed some of the images. In the top left corner, I decided to use a simpler background (old image) for now and rather than straight up copy the genius behind jbd and his use of initials, I went with my nickname (Jeng). Also, you may notice the new background (old image) for the menu above.
So I'm getting ready to go to Las Vegas for my soon to be cousin-in-law's bachelor party. It'll be my first trip there when I'm legally able to gamble. When the situation permits, I may take some pictures so come back to see them.

Also, I got this from my little cousin Janel. I usally don't really like all these emails with those "send your friend" stuff and what-not. But I did check this one out and thought it was pretty funny. Check it out here.
"...first of all, verbal basketball..."

I'm at school right now and updating this part of my site is turning out to be pretty easy. I just registered for my classes and let me tell you, I have a fun schedule of classes slated for next quarter. I love school. I pity the fool who ain't an engineer and gets to not only sign up for classes, but labs, too.

I'm spending too much time on this.
"...so hurry up and get here..."

I decided to try out this blogger thing. I got it from Jeff and it looks like it works pretty well on his site, so I thought why not add it on mine.

Below is the old stuff before I started using blogger.

2002 Feb 21 Thursday "...feel the rhythm of the conga... this is just a little samba..."

No new design updates today. I'm still trying to figure out how to do the interface for my portfolio which, by the way, probably won't have much. So don't hold your breath. I did add some updates to sports and music, though. It won't change your world, but if you'd like my opinion, check them out. I'm considering also adding a technology sub-section under my ramblings. But I don't know how many nerds that get excited about technology like I do are out there.

Anyway, onto life. A couple of months ago, I decided to get a subscription to the online espn site. I know, I know - an excessive cost that isn't necessary but at the time, I was working and didn't feel that the money spent on the subscription would amount to much. Anyhow, I'm no longer working and forgot that the subscription removes money from my account every month. So, I get this overdraft charge from Bank of America that I don't have enough money to pay for the subscription, so they charge me even more money because I don't. This kind of seems a little dumb to me, but I'm just a kid living in the man's world. Screw the system. I'll pay it though. Somehow.

2002 Feb 20 Wednesday

This is a revision of the website I posted earlier. I'm a little more happier with this design but still feel it's lacking. I am proud, however, because it is my first actual attempts at writing most of the code. Although you will find some pages that were made with the help of Macromedia's Dreamweaver, I did try to do most of the code by hand. I'd like to thank the creator of jbd for the insight regarding the html. I'm still trying to figure out how to best do the interface for the portfolio I hope to put up, as well as other things I want to add to the site. Anyway, that's it as far as this site goes.

I'm looking forward to this weekend. My soon-to-be cousin-in-law is having a bachelor's party in Las Vegas and I just found out the midterm I was supposed to have on Monday was moved to Friday. No worries for the weekend. Excellent.
